One requirement from the German Armed Forces, where our SeaDry container desiccants are listed, was that they must function reliably even after exposure to very low temperatures. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To verify this, a two-stage test was carried out:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Test step 1: 24 hours at -40\u00b0C in a cold chamber at BFSV Verpackungsinstitut Hamburg GmbH<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Test step 2: 25 days at 37\u00b0C and 90% relative humidity in a climate chamber at ThoMar OHG<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At -40\u00b0C, virtually no moisture absorption takes place because the air contains almost no moisture under these conditions. This phase therefore primarily served as a stress test to ensure that the desiccant remains fully operational after extreme cold. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Result: As the test chart shows, the performance of the container desiccant is not impaired by the extreme cold.
