Silica gel packets protect your goods, from electrical equipment and leather goods to textiles and packaged foods, against moisture damage during transport and storage. Because the silica gel packets absorb moisture from the air inside the packaging, condensation cannot form when they are used correctly. Desi Dry Orange consists of 90% whitish, colorless silica gel and 10% orange-colored silica gel. From a moisture content of approximately 6%, the orange beads begin to turn green. As the desiccant continues to absorb moisture, the green color becomes more intense until it is fully saturated. A green-blue color indicates complete saturation. A special transparent and highly tear-resistant nonwoven material allows the saturation level of the desiccant to be checked visually.
