LiquiDry is a liquid absorber that can absorb existing liquids in seconds upon contact with liquid media, turning into a gel in the process. The sachet consists of a water-soluble paper that simply dissolves itself upon contact with liquids. The absorber sachet is filled with a highly effective powder that can absorb a hundred times its own weight in liquid. In this way, LiquiDry prevents the leakage of a variety of aqueous-based liquids, e.g. blood and urine, and enables their safe transport, storage and handling.
The absorption capacity of the white superabsorbent granules (SAP / sodium polyacrylate) is 250 times its own weight for distilled water and 60 times for 0.9 percent NaCl solution. The resulting gel does not release any liquid under pressure and thus effectively protects against moisture damage during packaging, transport and storage or even as a safeguard when decanting or pouring liquid media. The LiquiDry liquid absorber is therefore ideal for use in sensitive areas such as pharma, medicine (hospitals and laboratories) and hygiene. Disposal is via normal commercial waste.
