    Details and Application

Silica gel bags are a proven solution for protecting sensitive products from moisture. The silica gel inside adsorbs water vapor from the ambient air, helping to prevent damage from condensation, mold, or corrosion during transport, storage, and safekeeping.

Benefits of the low-dust silica gel bag

The low-dust outer material version of Desi Dry silica gel packets is available in various bag sizes from 0.5 g to 250 g. The outer material itself consists of a paper-nonwoven composite with a PE layer and is vapor-permeable, tear-resistant, and suitable for industrial applications. The desiccant can absorb around 30 to 40% of its own weight in moisture, which corresponds to about 300 to 400 ml of water vapor per kilogram.

The desiccant bags can be inserted directly into individual or outer packaging to save space. Typical applications include electronics, spare parts, textiles, or leather goods.

All bags are shipped from ThoMar’s own warehouse in Germany. The product and logistics processes are ISO 9001:2015 certified and include documented quality inspections in accordance with the defined management system. This ensures consistently high product quality and process reliability—even for demanding applications.
