    Details and Application

    Standard-compliant protection with dry clay

Our CertiDry DIN 55473 desiccant bags are a proven inbox desiccant solution. They reliably protect goods within a barrier layer in the shipping packaging from moisture, mold, and corrosion – both during transport and during long-term storage. Using dry clay as an adsorbent, they extract moisture from the ambient air and help to protect various types of sensitive products from damage. According to DIN 55473, one desiccant unit (DU) corresponds to the amount of desiccant that adsorbs at least 6.0 g of water vapor in equilibrium with air at 23 °C (± 2 °C) and 40% relative humidity.

The right variant for your packaging requirements

Available in two variants – CertiDry Type A with low-dust wrapping material and CertiDry Type B with a dust-proof membrane for minimal dust leakage – they can be flexibly adapted to different packaging requirements. From a size of 16 DU, the bags are additionally equipped with a hanging strap, which allows for optimal positioning within the packaging. This keeps the desiccant free in the air, so that there is no direct contact surface with the bottom of the packaging. This ensures uniform air circulation and efficient moisture absorption over the entire bag surface.

Manufactured according to DIN 55473 and MIL-D-3464E, our CertiDry desiccant bags meet recognized industry standards and are available in various sizes. Since dry clay is a mineral raw material, the composition, quantity contained, and weight of the bags may vary.
