Challenge: residual moisture after cleaning IBCs
Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs) are used in many industries for the transportation and storage of liquid or free-flowing substances. After use, IBC containers must be thoroughly cleaned to remove residues and comply with hygiene standards. However, this creates a problem that is often overlooked: residual moisture or condensation inside the container, which settles particularly in hard-to-reach places. Residual moisture poses several risks – it can cause undesirable reactions such as decomposition or crystallization with chemical substances, impair the quality of hygroscopic products, or promote microbial growth in food or cosmetic IBCs.
