The humidity in the container increased not only due to climatic fluctuations, but also due to damp pallets and loading in the open air. This led to so-called container rain, which further accelerated corrosion processes.
To reduce humidity, SeaDry Blanket desiccant blankets and SeaDry Single bags were used initially. At the same time, the customer optimised its logistics processes: pallets were stored dry and loading was carried out under weather protection.
The measures demonstrably prevented corrosion on drums and sealing. Thanks to the improved storage and loading conditions, for subsequent transports the use of the SeaDry Blanket alone was sufficient – the additional consumption of SeaDry Single could be eliminated completely.
