Challenge: moisture meets sensitive labels and finishes
The bottle units were palletized, stabilized with cardboard, and wrapped with stretch film for cargo securing. During sea transport, temperature fluctuations caused humidity in the container to rise significantly and promoted condensation. For high-quality spirits, this is particularly critical because labels, finishes, and decorative materials can be sensitive to moisture. At the same time, the wrapping can restrict air exchange within the pallet, so that moisture can also become a problem between bottle layers and cardboard elements.
