Challenge: persistent moisture damage despite existing desiccant use
Temperature fluctuations in the container repeatedly caused humidity to rise above critical levels. The analysis by the ThoMar consultant also showed that the specific packaging process additionally promoted condensation in the stretch-wrapped retail units. The attempt to solve the problem by using a higher number of desiccants led to significant additional costs with approximately 5,000 containers per year – without sustainable success.
