Challenge: leakage of drip systems and increasing risk of corrosion
A shipping company specializing in the transport of goods by inland waterway vessels had already addressed risk minimization for moisture damage. Those responsible initially decided to use desiccant in the form of a drip system. As the name suggests, a liquid is produced during dehumidification. This liquid, in the form of brine, leaked during one of our customer’s transports and created optimal conditions for the formation of rust on the metal coils.
