Silica gel bags are a proven solution for protecting sensitive products from moisture. The silica gel they contain adsorbs water vapour from the ambient air, helping to prevent damage from condensation, mould or corrosion during transport, storage and warehousing. 

Desi Dry silica gel bags from ThoMar are available in various fill quantities and two types of packaging: low-dust (paper-fleece composite with PE layer) and dust-proof (HDPE fleece). Both variants are vapour-permeable, tear-resistant and suitable for industrial applications. The desiccant can absorb around 30 to 40% of its own weight in moisture, which corresponds to around 300 to 400 ml of water vapour per kilogram.

The desiccant bags can be placed directly into individual or collective packaging to save space. Typical areas of application include electronics, spare parts, textiles, leather goods and food packaging. The 0.5 g, 1 g, 2 g, 5 g and 10 g sizes with dustproof packaging are suitable for direct contact with food.
